Buying a new vehicle is a big investment, so many shoppers look for a vehicle that will hold its value over time.
A recent report from AutoGuide.com revealed Tacoma holds its value better than any other truck or SUV on the market, according to data from the National Automobile Dealers Association’s Used Car Guide. After three years, Tacoma is typically worth 80.7 percent of its original purchase price.
The percentages are calculated using based on the most common trim sold and a three-year average trade-in value divided by the vehicle’s original MSRP excluding incentives and rebates. 4Runner finished just behind Tacoma in the study, coming in at 79.8 percent of its initial value.
Tacoma and 4Runner are among Toyota’s toughest vehicles, so knowing that they’re built to hold up – and hold value – over the long haul is a big win.
