Toyota Has the Most Brands on Cars.com’s Top 10 ‘American-Made’ Index

2013 Toyota Top American-Made

Four Toyota vehicles – Camry, Sienna, Tundra and Avalon – made Cars.com’s Top 10 list of 2013 “American-Made” Index (AMI).  The rankings are based on sales and whether the vehicle parts and completed vehicles are assembled in the United States.

Camry, assembled in Kentucky and Indiana, ranked No. 2 behind Ford’s F-150.  While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 did not change from 2012, strong sales and 75 percent domestic-parts content propelled Ford’s popular F-150 pickup to the top of the AMI for 2013, according to Cars.com.

Toyota Sienna, assembled in Indiana, ranked fifth.  Tundra was the only other pickup to make the “American-Made” Index, holding steady in seventh place.  Rounding out the list at No. 10 was the Avalon, assembled in Kentucky.
