2010 IntelliChoice Best Overall Winners

Toyota received the most Best Overall Value Awards of any manufacturer from intelliChoice.  Winning an IntelliChoice Best Overall Value of the Year award is very significant.  The rating factors used to determine these award winners include the accumulated ownership costs of depreciation, maintenance, repairs, fuel, fees, financing, and insurance over a five year period to identify the true standout models in each class.  This year, IntelliChoice went even further to analyze the long-term effects of the current recals and determined any changes to resale value and ownership costs to be barely measurable.  The nine Best Overall Value of the Year award winners are listed below.  In addition, Toyota received more Best Overall Value category wards than Ford, GM and Honda combined.

  • Best Car Value Under $24,000 – Toyota Prius
  • Best Car Value Over $24,000 – Chevrolet Corvette
  • Best Crossover/SUV Value Under $28,000 – Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • Best Crossover/SUV Value Over $28,000 – Lexus RX
  • Best Truck Value Under $28,000 – Toyota Tacoma
  • Best Truck Value Over $28,000 – Chevy Silverado 2500 HD / GMC Sierra 2500 HD (tie)
  • Best Van Value Under $26,000 – Toyota Sienna
